taps

"Taps" is a bugle call during flag ceremonies and at military funerals by the United States Armed Forces. The official military version is played by a single bugle or trumpet, although other versions of the tune may be played in other contexts (e.g., the U.S. Marine Corps Ceremonial Music site has recordings of two bugle versions and one band version). It is also performed often at Girl Guide, Girl Scout, and Boy Scout meetings and camps. The tune is also sometimes known as "Butterfield's Lullaby", or by the first line of the lyric, "Day Is Done". The duration may vary to some extent.

Hi, recently moved into new house, (the house is four years old), the bath has very low hot water temperature, I'm assuming its an anti scald device? The hot water in the rest of the house is fine, eg kitchen sink, utility sink, bathroom wash hand basins, etc, they all get nice and hot, its just...

Releasing recessed holding nut to replace ceramic cartridge on watersmith tap

Hi, I've been trying to find out how to release the retainer nut on a watersmith (Screwfix) mono bloc basin mixer tap. My internal stop cocks don't stop all the taps in my flat.

Hey team, so I think people have done some plumbing work in the ground floor maisonette I want to buy and noticed something weird. The stopcock under the sink doesn't stop the water upstairs. And the stopcock under the bathtub upstairs doesn't stop the water in the small WC. There is an...

Metal "lugs" on old taps (for square holes maybe)? Any problem with removing them?

Hi all Some old taps have what I'm describing as metal lugs (but just because I can't think of any other word to use!!) like these: Am I right in saying that these are for when fitting to sinks with square tap holes? If so, besides a hacksaw, are there any ways of making these compatible...

Ideal Standard Dualux Bathroom Monobloc Taps

Back in the 1980's we bought a few of the above which have ceramic disc cartridges. Pegler taps. Need help

My mother lives in Zimbabwe. She has some old taps that leak like crazy. They are pegler taps. I am in UK...
