Probably been asked before but, is there anywhere you can buy these things?

I dropped one in a gravel bed today and couldn't find it at all.
Luckily I had a spare one that came from an old installation so I fitted that and it tested ok but I don't want to be in a similar situation and find that I can't replace it until the next day.

Thanks guys - the job has been a bit of a 'mare really, and I still haven't finished.
It usually only takes me a day on a boiler swap but this one is going to take two.
I got the jig on the wall and piped it all up, only to find that the connections don't meet once the boiler is on the jig.
I called the manufacturer and they said they'd send a new jig out - didn't even question it so there must be some prior knowledge of this at their end. Problem is the the jig won't arrive until Thursday and I'm fully booked at the moment so I have to rearrange everything now :(

Baxi ?? :D

Yep how'd you guess? - This is the first time that I've had a problem with a Baxi boiler, and I've fitted loads of them in the last couple of years

Very common atm there having major issues with there qc

Duo tech ?

Not fitted a Baxi at all but saw the 600 yesterday didn’t ask about the jig though just presumed.

Ecoblue System - customer got it through the friends and family scheme that they run.
I'm doing the 600 course on December 4th

This is a Baxi email sent to me a month or so ago:

It has come to our attention that a small batch of Baxi EcoBlue boilers have been manufactured with the incorrect back casing, which means they don’t fit onto the wall mounting jig.

We are recalling the boilers where possible from the merchant distribution centres, but unfortunately a small number of the boilers have already been sold. As a responsible manufacturer, we are letting you know, in case you come across one of the affected boilers.

The models affected are:

  • Baxi EcoBlue Plus Combi
  • Baxi EcoBlue System
The boilers were manufactured between 2nd and 20th October 2017. No other boilers are affected.

You can identify the boilers because they do not have a notch cut out of the back casing that fits the wall mounting jig, as in the picture above.

Should you come across one of these boilers, we will send you a replacement jig that fits the boiler, by the next day, free of charge.

  1. Please call Baxi Genuine Parts on 03448 711540
  2. Ask for a replacement jig Part Number 7215573-R
  3. Provide an address where you would like the part to be delivered the following day
We would like to thank you for your understanding and help with this matter, and apologise for any inconvenience.

Kind regards,
