Can anyone confirm that a 240v central heating wall thermostat can be replaced by the Nest E Heat Link? According to Google, the wiring needs to be low voltage so it will not work but I have seen a few comments in forums that the European version is different to the US version and does work at 240v. Just need to know as my current thermostat, Honeywell DT90E, is 240v. Cheers. H.

Thanks. I assume (a) it's the same for the Heat Link which comes with the Nest E, and (b) if it's purchased in the UK from, for instance, Toolstation, it will be the European version?

I don’t know which version will be which, from any given supplier, but before you leave the shop, open it up where possible or ask them to confirm. If not read the side of the box, it might give an indication.
