That’s also a good so solution with being rubber washer I think by the time our solder all together isn’t it quicker to use the other fitting? I didn’t come across one which was leaking due to low quality materials if it’s leaked then due to not tighten itI don’t use the plastic fittings and tbh I just remove them (if add ons) where I have to replace a cistern or taps for examples.
I use soldered tap connectors, but I replace the fibre washers with the Hep flat rubber washers.
