I must be cursed

The new boiler that was fitted yesterday had a problem on commissioning, when the central heating was turned on the boiler fired but the pipework was only getting hot up to a certain point, it took the plumber a couple of hours to figure out what was happening, the problem was one of the valves on the new boiler was saying it was open but was actually faulty and was closed.

After a couple of hours this was figured out and rectified, what im worried about is that after he left i was getting to know the boiler and noticed 3 faults that were kept in the memory of the boiler: Heat exchanger overheated fault.

It's a stainless steel heat and will it shorten the lifespan of the boiler or cause problems down the road? I am not blaming the plumber on this one as it was a part on the new boiler that was at fault but should i contact the manufacturer or leave it be?

Thanks All

No be fine I’m guessing ideal ?

It was a Navien NCB500 37kw, thanks for putting mind at ease

Yep that uses the ideal valves common issue after a few years they seize up and round handles best not to use them
