Hi

Although qualified as a sparkie I currently work as a maintenance engineer performing a range of craft tasks which includes plumbing, heating and ventilation, but not gas. I am looking to the future and have been performiing domestic and commercial works with a builder. I would like to start signing my own work and NAPIT appears to be a cost effective scheme that covers a number of disciplines. Has anybody joined this organisation or do you have experience of this organisation. Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

No, but you will probably need at least level 2 qualifications to register.

Is that alevel 2 academic or vocational qualification. I can demonstrate performing hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing tasks during my apprenticeship these are in my log book.

Who are plumber registered with for notification purposes or is it not required?

OFTEC, but thats for oil heating engineers - for notification of unvented, heating system installs etc as well as oil systems.
