Cheers zbd this drawing very helpful that pump overrun stat needs checking where abouts on boiler is it as this appliance is in the most awkward location

This one is not getting repaired it's fitted in an alcove 6 " off the floor ,and 6" gap between front of boiler and cylinder then a built in sliding door and frame to hide it I ve got it running for Christmas for them then a new boiler required

I think the pcb goes for around £180/£190 but other then that and a fan I've been told your be lucky to get anything!

The stats on these go too, thats worth checking.

I've no idea if you can still get the stats, been a few years since i changed one.

The stat is still available. Part no: 402S088. roughly £18.00 inc vat.
Situated at the bottom right hand side at the rear of the combustion chamber on a bracket.
By the sound of it, it would be a t**t to do. You could transfer the pump supply to the boiler SL and lower the boiler temperature as a temporary measure.

One of the lightest boilers on the market at the time, loved them!! It will be the overrun, nowt else would cut the pump out except a knackered pump or it's supply wire...! :)

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
