How many of you advertise in your local paper? I am thinking of putting an ad in mine but it is very expensive and there are already about 8 plumbers in it!!

If you do use your local paper how many calls roughly do you generate from it?

Thanks as always

I wouldnt bother personaly now a days think would rather have a recomendation than a name out the paper.

Did think about it years ago when startting out, but found out the cost and how many plumbers adds were already in there and given how many plumbers there are in Stevenage didnt think it to be worth it

I found it a waste of time, very few calls, less jobs than calls and never paid for itself.

:iagree: Did it when I first started and got the grand total of two calls.

doin it'

found a small 3 liner ad'=waste of money.

have a bigger box add= pretty good although not much this week.lol

speculate to accumilate.

wise man once told me- 'dont be a pioneer' its expensive.---follow what others are doing, they have already spent their money. so copy them.

If there are plumbers advertising then it must be working for them perhaps ?

the key is research and ignorance?.

research= if there in for months on end and are busy...

ignorance if they still advertise but not researched if they get any response.
