Good afternoon. I have an intermittent leak on a “valve”(?) just above the cold water stopcock under the kitchen sink. It appears to be only leaking for a short period after using the kitchen sink. Can anyone advise what this valve is and is it easy to replace. This has obviously been going on for some time and was concealed by a waste pipe leak under the sink which I have now rectified. Thanks in advance.

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.
