Hi all,

Haven’t been on here for a while but looking for some advice on Ideal Standard soft close toilet seat E791701.

We’ve got three of these but the newest one has a different design & I can fathom how to remove it for cleaning!

I’ve googled it with no success. There appears to be no buttons etc. nothing seems to move at all, but I don’t want to force it, thinking it’s a push for.

Left hand side has had the cover taken off,

Thanks in advance, H

The small vertical plastic slots on the seat, just next to the hinges, either press in to release the seat - or pull out (need to flick them out with Stanley blade or small slotted screwdriver if it’s pull out)

These are identical on the earlier design & don’t appear to be anything to do with the release of the seat unfortunately

Maybe it ‘just’ pulls straight off the pins, quite a lot of them do, this can require a lot of force after it’s been installed a while- especially if it is slightly misaligned.

If you’re unsure why not contact the manufacturers.

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
