Is it possible that my old boiler (baxi solo 2 40pf ) had been wrongly connected to flow and return after being moved , it still worked , slower heating up and after a while the boiler kept overheating and shooting up to header tank.

Anything is possible these days.

Feel the pipes coming off the boiler. If the pipes are rising the one on the left should be hottest.

Hi,having discussed with our technical team, it looks like this is possible or theminimum head requirement has been compromised. Your Gas Safe registered installer should recheck theinstallation and ensure that the flow and return are connected the correct wayaround. The flow pipe is at the top and the return at the bottom. Also ensure that any bypass that is required depending on the systemconfiguration as indicated in the boiler Installation Manual.Hope this helps!Baxi and heateam.
