I'm Matthew Owens, I'm 16 years old and I studied at Eggbuckland Community College and I am currently studying English IGCSE and plumbing at Plymouth College of further education. I am looking to apply for a plumbing apprenticeship. I have a keen interest in plumbing and enjoy the variety of work this career entails I also enjoy working on new projects and tasks.

I have a lot of self-discipline from years of rugby. When I was at school I did work experience engineering with Morris Engineering I also did work experience for local plumbing firm B Coles Plumbing and Heating and whilst there I worked in many different places. Working in plumbing I appreciate I will need to be on my feet a lot and also be able to work on my own in in many areas of the job. I am a good team player and feel I could bean asset to any employer. During my summer in between school and college I did numerous things and jobs as a labourer and used lots of different tools. Since starting my plumbing course in college I have been successful in passing all my practical and theory exams first time with good marks and results. In the future my goal is to gain employment as a plumbing apprentice and complete all my training to level 3 and pass my gas ticket qualifications.
