It was certainly Dragons Den I know he told me the whole story a few years ago.
They basically kept Alan captive until the end of the filming as thats how these
tv things are made. He got very grumpy as is Alans right, the verbatim account is
smashing ...Alan is a great innovative water engineer and a great friend.
