Hi, I am in a bit of a jam, I have an electric hot water and heating 'boiler' that has a pump that requires replacing, the manufacturer initially quoted 90 quid to replace, so I told the client and he told the landlord, happy days - except that the pump is obsolete and the replacement suggested by the manufacturer is £495 ( I did ask if it came with a free boiler) does anyone know of a reasonably priced pump that would fit this description - its for a 1 bed domestic and I already know I can adjust the electro controls to suit most majorly available pumps, I did contemplate changing the unions but access is squeezed in just behind impossible.

Thanks

Only thing i can think of is put it in the freezer and it might shrink to fit.

A picture or make and model may get you some help

would love to send pics but cannot upload to this site for some reason!
it is a standard looking heating circulating pump 130mm in length 3 speed 15-40

Insufficient info dc, what is the boiler make and model and what is the make and model of the pump?

the boiler is an alfa laval mini city part of the district heating range
the pump is a wilo Star RS15/4-3

because the pump which is 2.5 years old was sold under licence to alfa they will not deal with me. not helpful
