regulations
Regulation is the management of complex systems according to a set of rules and trends. In systems theory, these types of rules exist in various fields of biology and society, but the term has slightly different meanings according to context. For example:
in biology, gene regulation and metabolic regulation allow living organisms to adapt to their environment and maintain homeostasis;
in government, typically regulation means stipulations of the delegated legislation which is drafted by subject-matter experts to enforce primary legislation;
in business, industry self-regulation occurs through self-regulatory organizations and trade associations which allow industries to set and enforce rules with less government involvement; and,
in psychology, self-regulation theory is the study of how individuals regulate their thoughts and behaviors to reach goals.
Apparantly the G3 regulations have changed to include domestic hot water system under 15 Litres. this means if you dont have G3 qualification you can no longer install under sink water heaters

Recently received a worrying note from our gas provider regarding the potentially dangerous state of our meter. The gas feed from the meter, which is outside, enters through the cavity wall into the garage, which is built into the main part of the house. They have inferred that this installation...

Why are professional people afraid of DIYers getting to know their jobs?
Are they afraid for safety reasons?
But then why can people learn as much as they like about electricity for free, but struggle to find the basics out about gas?
It doesn't seem to bother the "Sparks" at all and...

Hi,
I was reading on some old revision exam papers that that the only place permitted for a BS1212 part 1 valve is in a F and E tank?
Is this a glitch, my understanding is part 1 valves are only allowed in a wc off a cws?
Please can someone advise?
Thanks

Hi All
I am right in believing that you are required to fit a filter in a heating oil supply line under regulation J in compliance with BS4510?
If this was not fitted then the builder (house built 2003) is in breach of building regs?
Any input or help would be great!
Thanks

hi lads,
i am fairly new to the scene but maybe someone can fill me in on why it must be recorded when there is more of a drop than 19mlb of working pressure,between the meter and appliance when the burner pressure is ok what "really" is the problem. if that makes sence

hi there
am i right in thinking the regulation size for a water storage tank which is in four bed house with two toilets, central heating etc, is minimum 44 gallons? It serves both hot and cold (though mains serves washing machine and kitchen tap)
42 gallons is no good?
