Hi all,
I am looking for some advise on a replacement combi boiler for the powermax 155x.
B/g have been out and and failed it due to spillage from the burner i believe.
It is in a internal cupboard 10mtr from an external wall.
I unsure at this moment if it can be moved to an external wall so...
Ive got a client that wants one of these fitted as he had one in his old house. Looks like it obsolete checking on line, anyone know of a new alternative? Ive seen a glowworm version, but it has 2 21 litre tank and the powermax has a 150l.
I have a powermax 155x. I'm not sure if its a single channel or dual channel boiler, i'm considering connecting it to Hive. Ive looked online and it's reffered to as a condensing boiler and a combi boiler so i'm a little confused
Two days ago I serviced a Powermax 155x and noticed that the installers have set up the flue in a way that doesn't comply with the MI. AS I was having my GSR inspection today, it was a pertinent subject and the inspector said that he would class it as AR.
[It] leaves the boiler vertically and...
How's it going, never worked on a HE Powermax before. Anyone know how you put it in to maximum mode, the instructions say to press + and step buttons at the same time for about 5/6 seconds which will put it in to a reduced fan speed - so guessing that's minimum? But how do you then get it up to...
I looked at powermax about a year ago with no hot water. I replaced the blending valve and told her its new boiler time.
(she worked evenings and husband nights hence they give me a key) That said I never got paid for the job and took it on the chin.
She calls me on monday and said boiler dont...
Hope someone can help as this is doing my head in:mad2:
We have a Potterton Powermax HE that despite having the heating turned off and the thermostat set to the lowest setting still heats the radiators as though its -10c outside! Throughout the pressure is unchanged at 1.7
Is there a cheap...
Howdy knowledgeable folk, does this boiler have the same ally condensate collector issues as the potterton powermax?
Range got bought over by potterton didn't they?
It's a 2003 commissioned model.
TIA :)
Our heating has only been on twice so far since ive moved in, as far as Im aware.
Both the heating and hot water lights are on, we have hot water but the burner is not lighting, so no heating. We managed to get it to come on by simply turning up the thermostat but it hasnt come on since...
Hi guys I was reading this manual the other day and have spent the best part of an hour searching for it again. Anyone got a link to a PDF. I need the manual to shove up someone's arse!
Hi guys had a call out to one of these today it's leaking gas around the fan and the gas valve is making a massive noise help is it a big job or just replace the boiler
Hi guys been asked to have a look at a powermax 155, HW is working fine but when advance CH is put on it trips the RCD. I had something similar in the flat opposite a few months ago. Same boiler - HW fine but when room stat turned up RCD would trip - the CH pump had been affected by a leak...
Hi guys,
went to to a powermax last night, looks like expansion vessel has failed. As I've just been made aware of the safety alert with these boilers, decided to call Potterton and ask for advice. What a waste of time, she advised that the boiler I was at is within the range of the affected...
Anyone know the weight of these once they're drained (roughly)? Need to get one out tomorrow from 1st floor in a property. Also are they solid copper???
I haven't worked onany of the powermax boilers, and only come across one where the baffles have dropped. What do you guys use to get them out once they''ve dropped? I tried cutting a small slot in some overflow but no luck!
Quoting to replace one of these with a wall hung combi (the want a WB 34cdi)
I think the cupboard was built around the boiler so no room to look at anything around the back.
Are they all condensing? looking at the MI's they are but didnt want to get caught out as its in the middle of the...
Baxi Heating Ltd has become aware of a product safety concern relating to the Potterton Powermax HE range of gas boilers. It has been identified that under fault conditions increased levels of carbon monoxide can be created and escape from the flue/condensate connector component.
