Hi plumbing people

My system is open vented, fully pumped and was installed in 1990. It has a Honeywell 3 port valve stamped F5-9504. When the heating is in use, the hot water gets much hotter than the temperature indicated on the tank thermostat. If I start the system from cold and set the controller for ch only, I can feel the pipe to the coil in the cylinder heating up. Also if I call for hot water only, the rads get luke warm. So I am confident that the problem is that the water is leaking past the rubber ball i.e. the valve does not close off either of the output ports properly.

When I had similar problems 6-7 years ago, I was able to replace the rubber ball and the plate and all was well. The problem is that I cannot find such a thing for sale anywhere. I would be most gratefull if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Just replace the whole valve doubt you would of changed the ball it is built inside the main body, you sure it wasn"t the motor you changed

There used to be a service kit available but I wouldn't faff about with that, just change the whole valve.

Still get a 3/4" mid position valve off the self easy enough.
