Hi, does anyone out there have any experience with Warmflow combi boilers and live near Hartlepool? We're having a nightmare with ours and our usual engineer has given up. The current problem is that the hot water only lasts for about half a washing up bowl full then goes cold again. I've already posted about it and suggestions include gunked up flexi hoses or a gunked up heat exchanger. I've also just noticed that when the hot water is on, but the heating isn't, the radiators are getting warm, one in particular gets incredibly hot. We've had that problem before which was something to do with a diverter valve or something, but the radiators only got a little bit warm that time. If anyone can help, or knows someone who might be able to help please get in touch. Thank you!!

Try looking on the OFTEC website. Put your postcode in and it will give you a list.

Warmflow boilers are a bit of a nightmare and you are unlikely to find someone who specialises in them as they are such a small player in the oil boiler field, can be problematic and a lot of oil engineers won't install them.

Chances are its going to take someone to go through every section and function of the boiler to narrow it down.

Hi librarycat our warmflow cabinpak combi also warmed up the radiators when just the hot water was selected. Our engineer at the time fitted a new non return valve which solved that problem. A good oftec heating engineer will strip and replace your flexible hoses. They are situated in an awkward position which is probably why your current plumber didn't want to do it, any decent plumber knowledgeable in oil boilers will strip the hoses for you. I rang warmflow myself and told them the problems we had been having and they said the problem with the radiators warming up and the h/l tripping and turning off the hot water is all connected and due to blockage of the flexible hoses. In our case this turned out to be correct.
