Can anybody offer some advice?

Replacing taps on laundry belfast sink. Have removed the original 1960's taps and offered up the replacements and the threaded shank does not seem to be long enough, only 50mm. would need at least 60mm to get the back nut on and the flexible tap connector.

Are there taps with longer threaded shanks?

what about male to female extender or one of these [DLMURL]http://www.NoLinkingToThis/sfd/i/cat/83/p4755583_l.jpg[/DLMURL] 1/2" to 15mm tap connector

sorry just reread your post these probably won't fit will they?

There is a couple of ways to do this depending on your skills.

Either use a brass BSP socket and a running BSP parallel. Cut the tap thread back and tin the threads. Tin the BSP parallel and socket. Screw them together and heat them, add a bit more solder if you like and let it cool.
Or
Use a male x female BSP ring and a half inch jamb nut.
You will need a 3/4" jamb nut to fix the tap and a 3/4" tap adaptor to connect to it.

Most merchants will sell them and BES should do them.
