Hi, I am looking to upgrade my old wireless thermostat to one of the 'smart thermostats'. I have looked into them and they all seem to have good points and bad points. Has anyone got any info regarding which is the best one on the market at the minute apart from the honeywell one as it is too expensive.

So called smart ones are "nest" and "hive" they can use weather data and proximity of a phone to predict usage and temperature. I've not yet come across one that works well and I'm sceptical about the way they monitor you comings and goings.
If you want a wifi thermostat, you can't go wrong with a salus it 500. Or with a bigger budget the heatmiser neostat is good.

Hi nest is very good and n/power are doin them for free
First utility do cosy stats, which still good.
Tado stats control ch/hw/ so very good?
Never fitted a hive, hope this helps?

Recently had a Nest installed. Early days but I think it is fantastic, and definitely going to save on the heating bills.

:coffee:The top two, I would say is tado and nest.
Tado has 2 advantages, it can track your phone, and control hot water only with their extension kits.:coffee:
