Hi, I've got a sanicompact downstairs which has been working fine for 6 years. In the last day or so I've noticed that the toilet isn't flushing properly and subsequently not filling the bowl back up with enough water. The water that does come in comes in very slowly and it makes a sort of hissing noise. Any ideas please?

Update, I found instructions and I think the problem is a clogged solenoid valve filter. Does anyone know how to access and clean it? Is it something a non plumber could tackle?

Seem to remember the filter is part of the valve not a seperate item. Are the holes around the rim clear?

I haven't attempted to get into it yet, haven't worked that bit out yet!!
Disconnect power at wall and remove cables, disconnect water, drain bowl, remove pan to floor screws and flip pan upside down. Check filter. Remove pump/motor box, remove end cover if you have too.

Opps slight change, you dont remove end cover, you split the central covers to get to the valve.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
