Hi All I called to service ferroli he25s lpg, water pressure fine, i re charged expansion vessel, emptied condensate trap, co2 -10, o2-6%, co- 144ppm . When the boiler has been on for half hour it starts to make a banging sound every 5 or 10 seconds and a whine. ANY IDEAS .

If in hard water area could be scale build-up in EX or dirty system. are they on mains water or private supply ?

Its private supply pressure is good, i dont think it is a scale or sludge build up, When it has run for half hour during which i had it at max testing co2 its when it goes to low flame after modulating down BANG 5sec BANG with a whine sometimes

is there a way to set up min gas rate on these thats what it sounds like to little gas getting through causing exsplosive ignition

Not on this model on HE Plus 25s you can, I think you are on the mark it sounds like a good reason for fault.

Have you check'd working pressure (37mbar) is he on bottle gas ? could have dirty bottle, is this banging in boiler or is it ignition ? may be fault with gas valve have you spoke to Ferroli ?

So boiler banging in EX ! could be small blockage causeing boiling or pump sticking not clearing heat away from boiler ,strange one, are you in hard water area ? also private water supply can cause some problems , boiler is set up to run on LPG ??

Whats cost of replaceing both parts ? (Ferroli Recomend) against boiler replacement, or get Ferroli out on fix'd price repair ! sometimes this is best way to go

Its still under waranty so will hand it over to ferroli, Thanks for the help out its very usefull.
