Hi,

As the post says.

My installation engineer said he could not guarantee a flow improvement but, it’s highly likely.

I have 3 showers in the house (only 2 used at the same time though). I am having a Worcester 27i system boiler & 300l express pressurised cylinder fitted (Heatrae Sadia). Gas pipe upgraded to 22mm as well as hot & cold pipework to the cylinder upgraded to 22mm. Also a garden tap fitted.

What do you recon? Will I see an improvement?

Good morning, how many litres a minute are you getting out of your taps at the minute? What are the pressures at you incoming stop
Tap? What size pipe is leading to your stop tap?

Would need to see flow rate in litres per minute, static pressure and dynamic pressure.

I would expect these to have already been looked at.

Has your installer mentioned testing supplies? You may also need to upgrade your mains

Is your “installation engineer” a qualified g3 & gsr guy? Or just the local builder?
Get him to test pressures and flow rates and explain how things will work, get him to explain the minimum requirements for unvented cylinders.

Let us know how you get on

He is a qualified gas engineer. He does need to get in an electrician to connect up the electrical components though.

You had better find out if he is G3 qualified then as he can’t work on cylinders unless he is

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
