Would recommend you go back to your engineer and ask them if they did it ? If they are 'honest' they will give you the right answer!
Also suggest you check for sludge yourself. Do you have a magnaclean installed ? I would think if you had quoted a magnacleanse then you will also have a magnaclean installed?

Thanks spoken to engineer said ran cleaner through system at start but didn’t open up radiators or agitate radiators because could make loose on wall and damage pipe work just opened up bleed valves on upstairs and ran chemical through and drained system out.
