heating systems with no Drain Valves

this seems to happen quite alot and it can be a pain, happend to me yesterday and I had to drain down from lockshield valve via a washing machine house into a walk in shower tray, then had to suck the rest of the water out with a wet vac and some cellotape to create a seal lol otherwise I would never have been able to solder the joint, all in all took quite some time

anyone got some tips or experiences they could share on this situation ?

They are only a temp drain off, like I said, once drained, fit a soldered drain off in its place.

I get them from my local merchants, but bes do them, £3.37 plus vat, bargain and can save loads of time. I always carry one in the van just in case.
