Hey everyone,

I have a Duravit vanity unit and was recommended to buy the Duravit space saving waste: 005076

But im unsure how this connects to the waste pipe in the wall. The plumber has fitted a standard waste, but he had to cut a hole at the back of the vanity. There is another to install and im wondering if there is a way to use the correct space saving waste.

Has anyone ever installed these that could advise please?

Here is a picture of the vanity unit and current waste...

Yes fitted loads they are a bit of a pain , you need one on these - the silver bit is compression fitting with two sizes of rubber inserts. They are mcalpine euro / solvent .
Tbh if you have the cupboard I would go with what your plumber’s done - you only need that silly geberit/Duravit waste kit with some of the drawer units.

Thanks Ben, do you have a link for that picture you sent please?
Will this fitting connect the waste pipe in the wall to the Duravit kit (the cigarette box shaped thingy?)
thank you!
