Got a customer, who has an old dolphin bathroom suite fitted. The bath is a jacuzzi bath and all fittings (jacuzzi switch, pop up plug and tap) are all or were once gold ish in colour but now look worn and grim. I am changing all of these parts to the chrome plated stuff, taps no probs but any idea where the hell I can get a chrome jacuzzi push button thing and a pop up plug - the plug is controlled by a solid circular knob which is fitted about the same height as a standard overflow on a normal bath. This was installed by dolphin many moons ago

Is it new bath time or do we have options that I can put to her?

Cheers all

Not sure about the jacuzzi control, but is this the type of thing you're thinking of for waste?

Thats it Tom, nice one, cheers - just need the jacuzzi thingy now

The Jacuzzi's I have worked on in the past have had pneumatic push buttons.

Many 'flap type' WC flush valves have the same button.

Have you tried a traditional plumbers merchant for the part?

Don't laugh but as a last resort try calling a few car valeting companies. A few years ago it used to be all the rage that people got all the bright work on their cars either re-chromed or gold plated. It was all done on site to the cars with a little portable machine that could plate all the plastic badges to quite a decent standard. I am sure that a few car valeters probably still have and use the machines to keep the badges up to scratch so I am sure they could re plate the buttons for you.

Ha ha, cheers Mike - superb idea but most of the car valeting companies round here struggle with the english language. Fluency in polish required lol

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
