Always fill out the Benchmark. For hobs/cookers I fill out a maintenance sheet and just state new installation. That way you’ve documented your install and the figures.

It’s a voluntary process mate through a declaration of work. But I do it all the time. I know they are not notifiable to building control.

I think that is the best bet really. Also better for the customer too. Will always do it now after this thread.

You know what, sod it, il start doing it too at least they’ll get a nice piece of paper from gas safe. Looks proper then.
