Thankyou , yes I agree but I have a blockage issue in a newish house and it seems the only solution , I have explored other ideasIt is OK so long as it can be vented. It's not the best idea of course but sometimes these things are unavoidable.
I wouldn't use an AAV in your home personally. I find that they are prone to leak. In theory, once it is full, it shouldn't need bleeding so a manual one will be adequate.
Can the pipe work not be run another way?
