pressurise
Pressurisation duct work is a passive fire protection system. It is used to supply fresh air to any area of refuge, designated emergency evacuation or egress route.
Hello,
I live in a two floor semi with a gravity fed conventional gas fired boiler (Potterton Kingfisher MF). The boiler is fed cold water from the loft water reservoir tank (which also feeds the cold water taps in the bathroom & the WC cistern). There is an expansion vessel attached to this...
Got a Worcester green star 28i junior that was blowing off, replaced PRV now it won’t pressurise at all, just fills for a few minutes then blows out the PRV, heating and hot water still work if system not over filled. If bypass is shut boiler overheats and cuts out, thinking it’s the heat...
Hi, I have a new boiler Ideal "Heat only" 24kw with a new Indirect unvented hot water cylinder and two expansion tanks. The plumber who fitted the system a few months ago told me how to re pressurise the system by opening two valve taps to introduce mains fed cold water to the system and...
Hello,
New to the forum, just looking for some advice please. Around a year ago I had a worcester bosch 4000 boiler fitted as my old one was leaking and worked on and off. It's been great but I have recently noticed that the radiators are giving out poor amounts of heat upstairs (all had new...
As the title say can you advise me on how to pressurise an Ecotec Sustain 28 R1 boiler. The old boiler at my old property was an older model and when istalled the guy showed me how to do it.It was simply turn one tap and turn the other until pressure was set then turn the taps back to default...
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help. We tried to bleed the radiators as they were cold at the tops. On the third no water came out, checked the pressure on the boiler and it's at zero. We now can't figure out how to re pressurise it and we have no hot water or heating. It's literally freezing...

Good evening all.
Recently i have had an unvented cylinder put on my oil fed stantly superstar 80000.
The pressure on the hot water is fantastic, sandblasting in comparrison.
The chap that fitted it mentioned it would be a good idea to pressurise the central heating system too.
(mentioned an...
My Gloworm 30cxi boiler has dropped pressure down to 0.5 Bar and will not fill up via the built in filling loop even though water is reaching the filling loop, but I think that the water inlet valve is stuck. Is it possible to pressurise the system via a radiator through a hose and connector to...
can anyone help me please, i'm trying to re pressurise my nephews falcon 2 combi boiler, but it won't fill above 1 bar. I have bled each radiator, drained the system etc, and tried refill but it will not repressurise above 1 bar ? be much appreciated if anyone can help.
Hi Guys
I have installed a central heating system , which I pressure tested with air. Over a period of time , the pressure has dropped. I haven't been able to find any leaks.
Is a pressure test with air as reliable as a pressure test with water ?
Cheers
Lenny
Hello guys
I have a Worcester 28i central heating system.
Yesterday I came home to find the house was freezing with no central heating and no hot water. It had been left on while I was out in full working order so its not as if I had manually done something to trigger a fault.
It...

Will it only be a leak somewhere that's responsible? Or could it be something else?
Got bunch of random jobs to do in a house including new rad - so need to drain-down. Checked boiler and noticed pressure guage at 0 bar. Heating works apparently, albeit a bit slow off the mark. They...

I've got the above mentioned boiler, inherited in the flat I bought. The manual says that it's either a TurboMax Plus 824.2E, 828/2E or a Thermo Compact 615/2E, 620E, 624/2E, 628/2E.
I believe it's the Thermo Compact because I've looked at Youtube vids for pressurising TurboMax's and it doesn't...
