Hi all. In our new build we have some boxing like this which is easily removable for maintenance. I need to make a small section of this in a wetroom we have just done to fill a 3" gap between a WC pan and the soil pipe boxing which is tiled in. I have no idea where to get this plastic they have used to make the boxing.

Can anyone identify it and tell me what it is and more importantly, where I would get it 20140312_222626.jpg? Cheers!

I am assuming it is some sort of PVC window sill cover or something.

Gloss mdf?

In a wet room?

The upvc looks like a soffit facia and is a lot cheaper from specialist suppliers. The sheds normally charge like wounded buffalo for this stuff so find a proper soffit / guttering/ UPVC supplier near you.

Yup. It's not going to have any water going near it due to the screens. It's such a small section of boxing it's going to be incredibly difficult to tile neatly and it needs to be easily removable for future access. It's basically a 3" section between the edge of the WC pan and the tiled in soil pipe stack. It will look neat once it's all cut in with a jigsaw.

Don't ask, I didn't choose the first WC, this one was a last minute replacement as their first one was totally unsuitable. I booked this wet-room nearly 6 months ago and it was the last one where I let the customers buy the items themselves. So glad I've decided not to do that any more.

It's definitely uPVC. Looks like fascia board or window sill covers. Thanks a lot folks, shall pick some up tomorrow. Will save a lot of hassle :)

I buy mine from a local upvc place 5 metres at a time. Really good for bathroom window cills and boxing in. I pay about 15 for a 5m x 250mm.

I bought a length to repair a bathroom window that someone had put a shower over. Still got most of it in my garage lol

The finished product in action. Took all of 10 minutes to make the boxing, will be using that trick again!

Customer wanted it easily removable though for maintenance in the future which tanking stops!

Also they are fitting another screen between the shower and the WC so no water is ever going to go down there.
