Brought an Aladdin easy fit isolator for a job rather than drain down the house just to remove the toilet pan but it weighs 13oz / 360gms which seems a lot of weight to put on the copper cistern feed pipe and the only place it can go is right up close to the fill valve plastic stem connection so my Q is would you fit there?

Thanks.

I'd turn the water off and open up the cold taps. Then if needed pop a normal ISO on the feed to the loo. Am I missing something or is there a reason that it's not that simple?

You mean like a live snatch, cut the pipe and quickly fit the normal ISO?
I`m in a smart house and can`t see the customer liking that much or am I the one missing something.

so is the incoming stop tap not working?
is there no street tap?

No, I mean turn the water off, open a couple of taps and within a minute there's no more cold water to come out of the toilet feed so you can fill yer boots as we say in sunny Bolton ;)
It's not like there's cold water stores to drain down before the water stops. Or is there?

There is a cold tank in the loft and customer doesn`t know where to turn the water off in the house since the extension kitchen was added.

Customer doesn`t know where to turn the water off in the house anymore, haven`t looked for outside tap, big house in big grounds.
