Hi all,

First post so be gentle!

We run a small pub in Lincolnshire and just been down to the basement to switch the boiler back on after the summer.

The boiler installation is not that old, about 2 years - the installer also fitted a Adey magna clean, it is this that is the concern ( see below )

What would cause the corrosion on the Magna clean ?? - The installer flushed the system and dosed it accordingly , but this is quite concerning.

Is it safe to run the boiler?

Any comments welcomed

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the o ring on the top (lid) is letting by, it's nothing to worry about as long as it's not gushing out and you should be safe to use the heating whilst you await a plumber to take a look/repair.

The things is just the deposits that the magnaclean attracts inside. Like above, it will need a clean up and a new "o" ring. It's an easy fix and as its a small leak you can use your heating. But needs sorting soon.

Guys above , advice spot on .
depending on your system , that fillter could be nearly full lol .
IMO great filters .

Cheers Guys for the info - I'll run the boiler until my plumber gets here next week..

Again , many thanks.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
