i was just curios to check my boiler this morning with my fga and found out that it was giving me CO levels of upto 250ppm and the ratio was around .035 going up when i pulled the probe out and started checking the boiler. Its a balanced flue old glowworm MK2.
reason im sharing this here on this site though i know it doesnt carry any relevance was that i was shocked myself to be sitting on a timbomb myself i was just too busy to see my own safety!! or proabbaly the FGA is faulty:p

plenty of good engineers on here, do you need one of us to give it a service? :)

LOL.........for a cup of tea...why not mate?

Ratio 0.035 is not a disaster, but looks like the little old boiler requires a service as it will only get worse. Normally on the old MKll's its the lint filter, but give the heat exchanger a good clean as the products of combustion could be backing up on the burner, especially if its the low water content boiler.

thanks for the input guys i will be changing this boiler on friday with a profile i got in my shed.
