I am looking for a basin waste and trap. I know the simple plughole and chain wastes are possibly the easiest to manage with but whats the next best - click clack ones?
As to traps - best to stick with the tried and tested S or P or go for a Macvalve...
I have a dripping sink trap which it seems needs a replacement washer. Sink trap kits I've found contain the right type of washer - a flat O-ring, but the sizes tend to be 32mm or 40mm. The 32mm are a bit small and the 40mm way too big. Any idea what I should be looking for?
Hi! I've been chasing the smell under our stairs/cellar for so long and have had many things fixed one by one, the smell still remains, next investigation is the boiler!
They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. Here's 4:
The boiler is a condensing boiler, I think it's a "Warmflow Utility...
I have a long waste pipe run that is out side of the recommended distance of 4 meters for 50mm pipe. It only has one appliance on it. But because of the length of the run I want to stop self syphonage of the trap. Is there any benefit of fitting a trap with and anti vac adapter or anti vac...
Hi all, I am hoping someone can advise on this.....bought a 1.5 bowl sink a while ago from B&Q but never got around to fitting it.
Now decided to fit it in my utility room but upon having a look at it the smaller of the two bowls appears to have a rectangular slotted waste exit in the bottom as...
A 21 year old shower which has two traps has perished "Cups' and smells are entering via the Traps. There is no access to replace the Traps.

Hello there, as a trainee plumber I have a couple of questions running through my head.

The Waste is slightly higher than the trap, I've been advised to use the flexi fitting but it leaks and doesn't look strong enough especially as water remains in the pipe. I would call a plumber, but I know its a simple solution.. for someone! I'm a total newbie so advice would be great!

Hi,
Just moved into my first house and the waste water in the shower is only draining slowly. Soda crystal, baking powder and vinegar work for a few days but then it comes back. When I use them it kind of collects at the bottom and dissolves rather than go down to the blockage.
I’ve tried some...

Hi Guys,
Some advice please on sewer smells coming from the shower trap. I suspect the water level in the trap is not high enough to prevent smelly air coming back. See photos. From the waste pipe arrangement, I don’t see how you can create a water seal when the top of the waste pipe is...
Hi folks. I thought I would be smart and remove the top part of the shower trap (I'm assuming it's called that) in order to give it a clean.
In taking the top part of, most of the sealant below came off with it. I put a bit of kitchen towel inside the trap to soak up some of the water and it...
Hi all. Hooing for some advice on a shallow trap. The waste goes to a gulley.

Thanks
