pipe fitting
A fitting or adapter is used in pipe systems to connect straight sections of pipe or tube, adapt to different sizes or shapes, and for other purposes such as regulating (or measuring) fluid flow. These fittings are used in plumbing to manipulate the conveyance of water, gas, or liquid waste in domestic or commercial environments, within a system of pipes or tubes.
Fittings (especially uncommon types) require money, time, materials, and tools to install, and are an important part of piping and plumbing systems. Valves are technically fittings, but are usually discussed separately.

Hello,
I'm a late starter in plumbing (46) and have been to see my local college in Taunton. They say that the above course replaces the traditional C & G course? Is this correct?
I plan on doing one day a week for the next two years while still doing my current sales job.
My hope is then to...

Hi all
Does anyone know of the best way for a plumber to get work in the offshore industry.
I'm told pipe fitting is the most common route offshore for plumbers but does this require extra training or qualification? If so, where can this be done.
Thanks in advance for any help.:(

Hi.
I've been looking at the crimping tools and fittings for copper pipe. I have seen installs where the crimped fittings are used, and crikey they look sensational.
And of course, no gas torches needed on site.
I think there is a washer inside the copper fitting that gets compressed...
