Some sort of heat exchanger. May be commercial modular boiler set?

Reminds me of something we used to use to distil our own vodka on the Russian Front!

Someone's had the grinder to that, I say someone's had the grinder to that.

Instantaneous , ( very) hot water heater

It's the discambulberated balljoint wheelhouse bearing from an X reg. Mazda E2000

DSCF0521.jpgIs this any better ? its the main heat exchanger from a vaillant (& lots of other makes). Ever wondered why they are so prone to blockages & thought, is it really worth fitting a filter to protect them. In-let around 20mm dia down to less than 5mm internal water way I recon.
We cut em open so you don't have to. We can also recondition them.

another great demo as to why intergas are so good, 22mm main heat ex feed and 15mm feeds for hw, more room all round:)

Viessmenn one has much bigger water ways (& I think is is a single pass), that's the one I when for at home after seeing it up at their place in Telford.

i have fitted about 100 viessmenns last year on a contract work and they were getting blocked up in about 4-8 weeks :)
contracter did not pay for pf as manufacture sold them the boiler and said they will be ok as long as there is a magnabooster
they were making more out of the manufacture then from the contract me think

by the way that job you passed on to me , I did change the set of valves and put a nrv and represurised the air bubble and all is been ok ever since with no problems , I even sent her a e mail week back to see if was all good , to which she said no problems ever since .
Thank you for the referral Chriss

And viessmenn heat only boilers were nightmare to get rid of the air from heat exchanger ....

The viessmanns water ways are somewhat larger, but no where near that of the intergas

Yes but it is aluminium isn't it ? each can have it's own possible problems (hot spots & corrosion) I think I prefer a good lump of Stainless Steel, hope to god I am not proved wrong.

copper tube set in aluminium, not an issue imho, one of their test beds been running over 20 years

They certainly have put a lot of the cost of the boiler into it, it is a very solid, well engineered piece of kit. I just think its a shame they don't revamp the case, as they don't look the best/ most up to date.

The insulation at the end of the HE is 130mm down which means the last coil pass is not in the flames ! why would this be ???
