My boiler was serviced a month ago and now it's leaking.
Is it normal for the plumber to repair the leak for free seeing as it was so recently serviced?
 
If the leak was something that was removed and refitted during the service then most likely yes.
If the leaking part was not related to a service or found during a service then it would most likely be chargeable over and above the cost of service.
Just as a leaking radiator hose, if found during a service on a car, would not be replaced / repaired free.
 
I had my annual service on my boiler about three months ago! During the service the engineer noticed some limescale/corrosion and said that he would order a new part which would solve the limescale/corrosion problem, and notify me when it arrived.

Needless to say I heard nothing and called the company. They asked if the boiler was functioning as it should and are there any leaks? I replied that all was well and boiler was working OK!

The response was that if that was the case they were reluctant to replace the part until it was really necessary! Leave well alone, was the statement!

That's was I was thinking but I don't know what was removed and what wasn't. Also it's such a small leak it could've been leaking since the service and I only just noticed. It's leaking from the water valve, would that have been removed during a typical service?
The plumber came and did some work on where the inlet pipe enters the water valve and charged me for it but that hasn't solved the leak, it's still dripping from the same place, which is near the inlet pipe. I've found a photo online to show where it's leaking - the black arrow points to where the water is coming from.
Is this something that could've happened during the servicing?

Sounds like the o ring has likely perished. No reason to work on that part during a service. A visual inspection of that part is likely all that was done.
