Tell me how you can work out the labour cost ? , if you are asking us how much you should be paying .
You can find the parts price very easily .

Can't find a part called hot water flow turbine valve to get a price on. Would it be called something different like turbine cartridge. I've been quoted 500 quid plus.

Seems a little high to me from the first look but better of asking the gas safe engineers on here. They'll surely comment on that

Is it £500 plus materials or including ?

It's including parts but looking at parts costs if I'm looking at the right parts there only about 95 quid including vat. Any idea who I can as for an answer.

Don't glow worm do a fixed price repair/repair service

My daughter had a FPR from Ideal. They phoned to say there was a drip. Ideal said they would want £280 upfront to call, because the problem may not be theirs. Fair enough. But if the problem WAS related to earlier job, they would hold, IIRC, £140 as a call out fee.

Just saying. Check T&C's. Manufacturers are pulling the rug from independents, then crapping on the punters.

EDIT: Just checked G/worm link. The PARTS are guaranteed 12 months. Labour 90 days. So if the problem represents in 91 days you are hot by their repair fee. Which is probably £249

Hmm. If the OP uses the Glow-worm repair service, would the company's liability be limited to 90 days, or would the Consumer Rights Act still make Glow-Worm legally liable for whatever supplied to last a reasonable time? Normally with warranties 'your statutary rights are not affected' because they can't be: they are statutary rights.

Yes, possibly, but you then have to get legal, And who can be bothered when your arse is freezing? :)
