So this cold tank definitely feeds the toilet?
As above ^^ bung the tank, if there's no way to turn off the mains, what if the alladin doesn't seal or it's 1/2 inch pipe.
I'd definitely want some form of back up isolation if I was cutting in to a pipe.
 
Also I`m fearful of an airlock in a house this size.

But thanks for all the advice.
 
Tie up the ballvalve? Piece of pipe accross the tank and tie the ballvalve up to it.
 
Just bung the cold feed pipe, you dont need a vacuum like bunging the heating system, will work fine and no airlocks
