Hello

I have a clamp-on thermostat that use to run a oil fired heater ti heat the hot water.

I now want to switch it to an element, but it has 4 wires conecting it.

One is an earth, and i guess the other 3 are positive in, positive out (when switched) and negative.

Is this correct? do you know the colours of lve in and out?

THanks

Jonno

id expect that was correct, however the only way to check is with multimeter. ask on the sparks forum.

sparks forum,SPARKS FORUM,,you what,we will never hear the last of it ,refering someone with a heating control question

earth as said

one conection live
one connection makes on demand
one connection makes on satisfied

Sparks forum ok to ask about price of light bulbs and kw required to boil a kettle, but thats about it !!!!! :D:D

Seriously it is a great forum apart from alot of electricians on it :D
