Used to do the same till nice man from Armaflex explained (in very simple words) to me what happens. Now use tape only so more energy is saved. Not as quick tho!

BES do some clever little bendy plastic clips that nip the lagging up , if you fit them around the back out if site so you dont need tape or cable ties . Look nice if on show , otherwise its tape or ties lol

Personally I only ever used the self seal Armaflex so it always looked beautiful
