Hi all. Any advice on how to release a pop up basin waste that has been pushed down too hard and now will not unpop. Many thanks.

either pick it out with a thin blade driver or try one of those sucker things they use for gu10 bulbs

Undo the trap and pop it back up from the other direction. Could try pulling out the push rod first sometimes the plug is fouling on the push rod that it has been pushed past and it keeps it stuck down.

Thank you - all sorted now. The rubber seal was caught so I rubbed some vaseline on it and then used a thin blade.
