Hi folks,
Can anyone help. I've been asked to decomission and remove a warm air heater in an ex council flat. Problem is, the flue is connected to a u duct and having not done any work on these, I thought i'd better check on the "correct" proceedure for resealing the duct post removal of the old appliance. I cannot find anything in the gas manuals or G/S bulletins regarding this, other than very basic generic statements about making air tight etc.
I called Gas safe tech support and the engineer mentioned a "wessex flange" type device designed for the purpose, said they'd be available from a flue manufacturer. Well i've searched the web for half a day now! can't find one.

Any one got any suggestions or do this type of work on a regular basis ?
