We've recently moved to a house where the tumble dryer now sits in the garage. There is no hole in the wall. I've got 2 choices to run the vent hose -either through a cat flap or up the wall and outside between the roof and top of the wall.

Not too sure what the maximum length of hose I should run?

The other problem I'm getting is that the hose keeps breaking between the metal wire (both via cat flap or up the wall). Is there a hose available which does not break every time the tumble dryer is used or can anyone suggest any other solution?

Any advice much appreciated.

How about getting a condensing tumble drier. We've got one. No hose.

I know what it is cos I just pointed and grunted and she told me what it is.

cant you get sombody to core drill a hole behind the dryer ?hose straight out the back or side ? shouldnt be to expensive
