Discuss Thermostat hit and miss with boiler in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at PlumbersForums.net

Pretty sure this is boiler related. In the Vogue there’s a link that needs to be removed when commissioning that’s easy to miss. Could be something like that that’s interfering with the switching. Talk to Ideal and explain the issue they may help with something like this even if not an installer.

if the hot water is working ok but not the heating its not a boiler problem as common switched live to boiler for both unless youve got weather compensation fitted then seperate switched lives needed

One thing I have noticed it works fine when im away from home or should I say when my car is not parked in garage, apparently they both run on the same frequency, maybe an interference which the thermostat cannot cope. My gas/electric SMART METER goes off/disconnects as soon as I park my car, comes back on when I drive away! When I disable the sensor in my car the smart meter comes on.

I bet you don’t get free gas and electric though, if you do maybe smart meters do have a use.

I've had a similar hit-and-miss with room stat MT10 RF (battery operated) paired with Worcester Greenstar 25 si Compact Combi. Technical Support at Worcester-Bosch told me the stat has an accuracy rating of +/- 5 deg C which is useless. I've tried turning the room stat to max and relying on TRVs but I reckon TRVs also have a similar accuracy range. If I throw money at the problem what do people recommend?

You said, the boiler is switched off over night. Do you mean you kill the power to the boiker over night?
Depending how stat has been wired, turning power off can cause stat to loose communication with receiver. You don’t need to kill the power over night. If you do loose power you might have to press reset button on stat.
