hi all

had a potterton apollo boiler installed recently. i keep the system on a timer, so the heat goes on at certain times and hot water is available when i want it. when the heat is off i have noticed a regular 'flushing' sound which lasts only 15 seconds or so. this flushing sound occurs every two hours or so, even heard it during the night.

i know that the pressure keep dipping to the red, and this may be due to having the bathroom radiator taken off, waiting for a heated towel rail to be fitted. i suspect that the may be air in the system or a leak, until the towel rail is fitted.

any thoughts on why the flushing noise occurs are welcome.

regards
