Blimey, if I knew it was that easy, I would be a plumber already...

Yep the americans love to nail drywall and sweat the sodder,,,,

I use this allready, its same as uponor q and e system. They don't show the shrink ring which holds it in place. And I test it to 10bar! But i don't use sharks tooth fittings!! :smile5:

Why do they call it soddering again? sounds too kinky and bum lovey for my liking ;)

Looks a bit like the pipe I used to use in Perth,we brazed the adaptors onto the copper, and joined on with crimp fit,or rehau, where you expand the pipe, and ratchet a brass ring on.The Rehau system never leaked, even with 20 bar in it.

Was in holland and noticed they use plastic a lot. Was a bit confused by wb combi tho. Prv on cold. Reg just below boiler expansion on DCW. No prv port on the combi boiler. 'Twas a gooen tho. 2012 new fix

Funny you said that erm,in Perth no meter governor, but all appliances had separate governor, pain on 1st fixing hot plate had to allow space for governor, fitted with flared unions, water heaters over there had no expansion vessel just a prv which would drip when hot

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
