hi guys im looking for some help i have moved into a new house and everything has been replaced due to the heating system new pipes, rads, thermostates, boiler, but the heating was working fine untill one rad wont warm up fully. my skills with plumming is basic wat i have tried is i bleed all the rads no joy them i turn all the rads off bar the one that was not working fully and bleed it, still no joy i then noticed when i turn the hot water tap shut that is before the cylinder water i then forced to this rad and it is piping hot within minutes. thanks pm please

Balancing issue. Do a search for balancing. There are many posts
 
not sure what you mean hot water tap before cyclinder, any pictures please
 
I'm presuming you got a throttle valve ( gate valve ) on cylinder just turn down slightly as Simon john said look up balancing
 
can somebody tell me why a gate valve on the hot water affects the flow to a rad?
 
Perhaps "Turning off hot tap" refers to a valve on the flow pipe to heat exchanger/coil of cylinder?
 
Perhaps the rad is on the coil circuit to provide all year round heat.
