got called to to look at problem with an elderly ladies heating system. i initially (after phone conversation) thought it was either pump or diverter valve. diverter.jpgwell i got to property only to find it was neither. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the old stuff still works well.

Good old servowarm. Did it have the boiler behind a rad and the plastic header tank in the corner of a bedroom, that you top up with a bottle.

I drain my cylinders with the help of one of those , syphon through one side , once flow starts , move lever to other side , it triggers a shower pump and drains cylinders double quick

These were used quite a bit by SERVOWARM in the very early days when the local water undertaking wouldn't allow them to fit ball valve and float onto header tank. Had to fill up system &F/E tank with a hose pipe connected to a tap. How times have changed.
These were about in the days before Honeywell released V4073 MP valves. This looks very early 1970's
